• Personal Data: Email address (if you contact us) or information you enter when creating a profile.
• Usage Data: Anonymous analytics such as app interactions and crash logs to improve performance.
• Images / Photos: Only if you choose to upload food photos for AI analysis. They are processed securely and not shared.
• Health Data: If you connect Apple Health, we may read nutrition or activity data with your explicit consent.

2. How We Use Information

• Provide AI meal analysis and nutrition recommendations.
• Improve and personalize your experience in Kal AI.
• Handle subscription purchases and manage entitlements via RevenueCat and Superwall.
• Analyze aggregated usage to make Kal AI better and more stable.
• Provide customer support and communicate important updates.

3. Sharing of Data

We do not sell or rent personal data. We share limited data only with trusted processors:

• Firebase / Crashlytics / Mixpanel: App analytics and crash reports.
• Supabase: Secure backend database and authentication storage.
• RevenueCat / Superwall: Subscription and paywall management.

These partners are GDPR-compliant and use data only to perform services for us.

4. Data Retention & Security

We keep data only as long as necessary to operate Kal AI and comply with laws. All information is stored using industry-standard encryption and protected against unauthorized access.

5. Your Rights

You can request access or deletion of your data at any time by emailing us at support@kalai.app. You may also revoke permissions (e.g., camera, photos, HealthKit) in iOS Settings.

6. Children’s Privacy

Kal AI is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have done so, contact us and we will delete it immediately.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted here with an updated date. Your continued use of Kal AI means you accept those changes.
